[moonv6] John Brzozowski to Lead our ISP Survey [nav6tf] ACTION: FW: IPv6 Forum Chpapters & ISP Surveys

From: Bound, Jim (jim.bound@hp.com)
Date: 11/04/04

Members,

John Brzozowski NAv6TF member has volunteered to lead our ISP Survey work to respond to the IPv6 Forum. Also Paul Hodgson NAv6TF member has offered to help John. I ask all members and Moonv6 members to please provide John your support to complete this survey. We look to John to provide us an answer by the end of January 2005. I have attached that survey.

We still need someone to take on the job of leading the effort to fill out the IPv6 Benchmarking Data Sheet?

Thank You John and Paul very much.

/jim

	Members,

We have to complete this for our parent organization the IPv6
Forum for North America. In the next week I am going to select two individual leaders that can perform these tasks. I do not want these roles filled by members of the NAv6TF Steering Committee, but elsewhwere within our membership the Steeriing committee already has many hours of volunteer work for the NAv6TF and we must be reasonable. If you would like to volunteer for one of these tasks send me private mail with how much time you can devote to these efforts but only select one of the tasks. The Steering committee can help you with contacts and process to achieve this mission.

I ask the membership to volunteer here it is important and useful exercise. The IPv6 Forum will collect this information and the compilation of responses will be useful to all regions like the NAv6TF. So come on help us out here folks you can do it.

	Thanks
	/jim

Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2004 6:09 PM To: IPv6 Forum Members Subject: IPv6 Forum Chpapters & ISP Surveys Folks, Please find attached two survey quetionnaires: Task 1 - The National IPv6 Forum / IPv6 Task Force Survey : This survey should be presented by the chair to his team and decide internally on who should own this survey and get the metrics properly searched and correctly reported. We should put every effort to report just facts and stay away from enhancing the numbers to make the numbers look good and biase our judgement on the
country deployment. This is very critical to take real stock of the deployment of IPv6 in each country.

        Task 2 - The ISP Survey :

The second survey is targetted to Internet Service Providors and mobile operators, cable and Fixed telecom operators.

The Chair should entrust this task to a business oriented person. The panel chosen for this survey should be as broad as possible to guarantee market representativity.

The plan is to run this survey 4 times in the next 2 years and see the progress achieved. So, a good list of contacts should be selected and maintained for this work.

The clock starts Nov 1, 2004 and the feedback for Task 1 & 2 would be expected for end of January 31, 2005

We will think about a reward as a token of appreciation for doing these two tasks for the people nominated as we wish to have their names

        recognised and published.

Counting on your support for these tedious tasks!

	Cheers
	Latif
