moonv6 post from "Bound, Jim" <jim.bound@hp.com>
Members,
The NAv6TF is now going to change its model for conferences. After San Jose http://www.ipv6conference.com/ we are going to be out of the buisness generally of putting on NAv6TF Conferences. NAv6TF will now pursue a joint conference strategy as we most recently did with ARIN, which was very successful. We will work with other consortia's and with our conference organizer IGI as we evolve to this new model.
NAv6TF will not predominantly focus on the technology work and less on the marketing and promotion of IPv6 as a priority. Clearly we will support promotion, but working with others. As was stated in the Messaging mail thread our primary mission now is not to sell IPv6, but to tell the market how to deploy IPv6.\
Also this does not preclue the NAv6TF holding ad hoc Technology Seminars for targted industry and government sectors that need our support.
We will need every member here to support our San Jose Event it is very important and I have to ask all to help us achieve a minimum of 400 attendees, and to help us influence our vendor partners to sponsor this event which will be $3500.00 and again quite inexpensive.
Thanks for your support,
/jim
